URLLC (Ultra-Reliable Low-Latency Communications)
Also known as: Ultra-Reliable Low-Latency Communications
URLLC is one of the three 5G service categories defined by 3GPP alongside eMBB and mMTC, targeting user-plane latencies as low as 1 ms and packet reliability of 99.999% or better. URLLC is achieved through short transmission time intervals, mini-slots, pre-emption, PDCP duplication, redundant PDU sessions and integration with Time-Sensitive Communications, and is the enabler for industrial automation, remote control, and cellular vehicle-to-everything use cases.
