Zigbee

Zigbee is a low-power, low-data-rate mesh wireless protocol built on IEEE 802.15.4, widely used in home automation, smart lighting, and industrial sensor networks. Zigbee 3.0 supports AES-128 link and network keys, but historical default-key and join-key handling have produced documented security weaknesses in consumer deployments.

The radio access network is where mobile devices attach to the operator's infrastructure. Attacks in this layer include IMSI catching, rogue base stations and downgrade attacks; defenses rest on mutual authentication, integrity-protected signaling and Open RAN supply-chain hygiene.
