eSIM (Embedded SIM, eUICC)

An eSIM (Embedded SIM) is a soldered, non-removable Embedded UICC that can be remotely provisioned with one or more operator profiles via the GSMA SGP.21/SGP.22 (consumer) and SGP.01/SGP.02 (M2M) standards. eSIMs improve device design and user experience, support multi-IMSI use cases, and rely on a secure remote SIM provisioning ecosystem certified under GSMA SAS-SM.
