Zeroconf (Zero Configuration Networking)

Zero Configuration Networking is the IETF set of techniques (RFC 3927, mDNS, DNS-SD) that let devices discover each other and obtain network configuration without manual setup or central servers. mDNS broadcasts can leak device names and services across networks, so Zeroconf should be confined to trusted segments.
