SBAS (Satellite-Based Augmentation System)
A Satellite-Based Augmentation System uses geostationary satellites to broadcast correction and integrity data that improves the accuracy and reliability of GNSS positioning. WAAS (US), EGNOS (Europe), MSAS (Japan), and GAGAN (India) are the main regional SBAS systems, used in aviation and other safety-critical applications where standalone GNSS accuracy is insufficient.

The mobile core carries subscriber sessions, mobility and policy. In 4G it is the EPC (MME, HSS, S/PGW); in 5G it is the Service-Based Architecture with AMF, SMF, UPF, AUSF, UDM and the NRF.
