Charging System

The telecom infrastructure responsible for collecting, rating, and recording network usage events for billing purposes. Includes both online charging (real-time) and offline charging (post-processing). Charging systems interface with network elements via protocols like Diameter (Ro/Rf interfaces) and generate Call Detail Records (CDRs) or Usage Detail Records (UDRs).
