GUAMI (Globally Unique AMF Identifier)
Also known as: Globally Unique AMF Identifier
A GUAMI is the 5G identifier that uniquely names a specific AMF instance in a specific PLMN, composed of PLMN ID, AMF Region ID, AMF Set ID and AMF Pointer. GUAMIs are used inside 5G-GUTIs and in inter-AMF handover signalling so that any node can route a UE context to the correct AMF.

GUAMI in context
The mobile core carries subscriber sessions, mobility and policy. In 4G it is the EPC (MME, HSS, S/PGW); in 5G it is the Service-Based Architecture with AMF, SMF, UPF, AUSF, UDM and the NRF.
