Data Loss Prevention is a category of security tooling that inspects data in motion, at rest, and in use to detect and block exfiltration of sensitive information, credentials, source code, customer data, regulated personal data. In telecom, DLP complements egress filtering at OSS/BSS and corporate boundaries and is tied into incident response workflows.
