What is P1 Security Hub?
P1 Security Hub is a free, publicly maintained reference for professionals working on the security of mobile and fixed telecommunications networks. It brings together definitions, structured guides, curated vulnerabilities, regulation summaries, and open-source tooling into a single cross-linked corpus.
The hub is written for a specific audience — MNO/MVNO security teams, SOC and detection engineers, regulators, auditors and researchers — and deliberately avoids marketing content. Every definition is grounded in the primary specifications from 3GPP, GSMA, ETSI, ITU-T, IETF and NIST, and every framework map is traceable to the source document.
Coverage
The TelcoSec Glossary covers legacy signaling (SS7, MAP, CAP, SCCP, TCAP), packet-core signaling (Diameter, GTP-C, GTP-U), 5G Service-Based Architecture (AMF, SMF, UPF, AUSF, UDM, NRF, NEF, SEPP), radio access from 2G through 5G including Open RAN, IMS and voice (SIP, VoLTE, VoNR), identity and cryptography (AKA, 5G-AKA, EAP-AKA′, SUCI/SUPI), roaming and interconnect (IPX, GRX, N32-c/N32-f, PRINS), fraud (IRSF, Wangiri, SIM box, PBX hacking) and the associated GSMA baselines (FS.11, FS.19, FS.20, FS.36).
The Ultimate Guide to Mobile Network Security organises this into an atlas: each chapter walks the reader from protocol basics through the attack catalog to operator-side controls, with links back into the glossary at every specialist term.
Regulation and compliance
Telecom is one of the most heavily regulated sectors in the world, and the regulatory picture is fragmenting fast. The regulation atlas summarises the current obligations across major markets, and the crosswalks map controls between frameworks so a control implemented once can be evidenced against several regimes.
