PBX Hacking

PBX hacking is the unauthorised access to a private branch exchange (often through default credentials, weak voicemail PINs, or exposed maintenance interfaces) to place high-cost calls, typically to international premium-rate numbers, generating IRSF revenue. Mitigations include disabling DISA, restricting international dialling, strong admin credentials, and monitoring for off-hours traffic spikes.
