Curve25519 (Curve25519 (X25519 ECDH))

Also known as: X25519, Ed25519

Curve25519 is a Montgomery elliptic curve providing ~128-bit security, used with the X25519 key agreement function (RFC 7748). It is preferred in TLS 1.3, IKEv2 (DH group 31), WireGuard and Noise for its speed, misuse resistance and constant-time implementations. Ed25519 is the companion signature scheme (RFC 8032).
