diameter-db
signaling
Searchable database of Diameter applications, command codes and AVPs for 4G core networks.
A free, browsable reference of Diameter applications, command codes and AVPs, built for analysts who need to identify and decode 4G core signaling quickly.
diameter-db is P1 Security's database of Diameter protocol applications, command codes and AVPs, focused on 4G mobile core networks. It is machine-processable and freely available, covering 169 applications from 3GPP, 3GPP2, IETF and vendor dictionaries, 239 commands, 2,988 AVPs and 4,175 AVP occurrences in commands.
What it does
- Lists Diameter applications by Application-ID, from 3GPP interfaces such as S6a/S6d, Gx, Rx, Cx and Sh to IETF base applications and vendor-specific dictionaries.
- Shows, for each application, the command codes it uses and the AVPs carried in each command.
- Documents AVP codes and their occurrence across commands, so an unknown AVP in a trace can be traced back to its application.
- Provides a machine-processable dataset that can feed dissectors, fuzzers, detection rules and test tooling.
Best for
- Auditors and pentesters decoding Diameter traffic during 4G core and interconnect assessments.
- Detection engineers writing Diameter firewall or IDS rules by Application-ID and command code.
- Researchers and trainers who need a reliable Diameter reference alongside Wireshark.
